Jole Riders Donate to Three Schools

Jole Riders Foundation, a charitable organisation from the UK, recently donated 300 bicycles to three schools in the Gambia. The presentation was made at the Gunjur Co-operative.

The beneficiaries were: Bansang Senior Secondary School (CRR), Diabuku Senior Secondary School (URR) and Diabuku Upper Basic School (URR).

Speaking on behalf of the Secretary General of Jole Riders, Fabakary Touray, alias Boy, said that Jole Riders was initiated to aid and support schools in The Gambia.

He expressed optimism that the donated items would reach other parts of the country in the future.

Receiving the bicycles, the Governor of the Western Region, Lamin Sanneh, hailed the donors for their benevolent gesture and added that the donated items will contribute immensely to the development of education in the country. He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the donated items.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Lamin Jobe, the vice-principal of Bansang Senior Secondary School in CRR, expressed appreciation to the donors for their tremendous contribution to the development and promotion of education in The Gambia.

He added that the donated items will aid some of the students who travel long distances to attend school on time. He assured the donors that the bicycles will be put to the best possible use.
