National Athletics Championship Kick off Yesterday

The Gamstar sponsored National Athletics championship, organised by The Gambia Athletics Association, kicked off yesterday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

According Alh Dodou Joof, Secretary General of the Gambia Athletics Association, the championship, will end on Saturday, in which the finals of the various events will be held.

The events to be competed in include shot put, long Jump, 100m, 200, 400, 4x100 and 4x400m relays among others.

The entrance for the championship is said to be free of charge.
