Classroom Furniture for Njawara Basic Cycle School

Friday, July 4, 2008
Responding to an appeal from a UK visitor to Njwara Basic Cycle School in Lower Baddibu District, North Bank Region, FROGS (Friends of Gambian Schools), came to the rescue and had made 20 sets of combination furniture for the school.

The 20 desks/chairs were made at the Metalux factory and were delivered to the school recently.

The handing over was witnessed by Mr. Ebou Njie of Concern International in the absence of Mrs. Sally Reader the FROGS co-ordinator.

FROGS also provided seeds of the Jatropha tree to the Njwara Agricultural Centre.

In another development, a small project of classroom furniture has also been concluded at Bijilo LBS, plus a donation of First Aid materials.

The donor was Lydia Cunningham of the UK, but the project was overseen by FROGS.

Both beneficiaries expressed gratitude to their donors for the kind gesture.
