Reverend, Other Charged for Obstructing Police Officers

Reverend Bammy Manga and Melvic Roberts were on Wednesday arraigned before Principal Magistrate Buba Jawo of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court charged with obstructing two police officers while in the execution of their duties. The charged they denied.

On court one, the particulars of the offence revealed that the accused, Reverend Bammy Manga, on the 4thJuly this year, along Kairaba Avenue, obstructed officers 508 Nyassi and 2123 SaidyKhan while in the execution of their duties.

While on court two the offence stated that Malvice Roberts on the same day and at the same place obstructed officer 508 Nyassi in the execution of his duty by pushing him.

They were each granted court bail in the sum of D25 000 with a Gambian as surety, before the case was adjourned to 11thAugust.
