Lack of French Interpreter Hinders Murder Trial

The murder trial involving one Muhammed Ceesay could not proceed on Wednesday at the Bundung magistrates Court due to the lack of French interpreter.

When the case was called the presiding Magistrate, Kumba Sillah–Camara informed the court that there was no French interpreter, the language the accused claimed to have under stood.

In the circumstances, she adduced, the court would have no option but to adjourn the case to a later date to enable the court to look for a French interpreter so as for the case to move.

The case was at that juncture adjourned to 29thJuly.
