Karate is Gaining Momentum in the Gambia - Sallah

The president of the Black Eagle Karate Club in Wellingara Mr Mamadou Sallah has said that Karate is registering a lot of achievements especially in Wellingara and surrounding areas.

He said his club is willing and ever ready to promote and develop Karate in The Gambia, which is in line with the aims and objectives of the club.

Mr Mamadou Sillah made these remarks at the three-year anniversary celebration of the Black Eagle Karate Club over the weekend. This took the form of a march passed from the Wellingara police station to the Cinema Hall, where the event took place.

Sensi Njie of Sotokaan Karate International of Senegal, who was the guest speaker at the occasion, revealed that The Gambia has a lot of young talents who can professionally play Karate at both national and international level.

He urged members of the Black Eagle Karate Club to continue contributing towards the development of Karate in The Gambia.
