Manlafi Jarju speaks

Manlafi Jarju, the newly appointed APRC secretary general, has described his recent appointment as an indication of trust and confidence bestowed on him by President Jammeh, who is the chairman of the APRC party.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Observer, the former secretary of state for Local Government and Lands, promised to redouble his efforts to further boost the strength of the APRC party.

The newly appointed APRC secretary general further promised not to let down the party and its leadership. He called on the party militants to give more support at all times.

Mr Jarju’s appointment took effect on April 30.
