Driver’s Mate Accused of Stealing Cell-Phone

A driver’s mate yesterday appeared at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court on suspicion of stealing a mobile phone.

Alhagie Njie was charged with theft contrary to the laws of The Gambia. He’s alleged to have stolen the mobile phone of a certain lady in Banjul.

Alhagie is accused of stealing the phone whilst pretending to help the lady secure a place in a car.
