Gambian overseas players have started arriving ahead of Scorpions Group Six opener against Lone Stars of Liberia on June 1.
Defender Pa Saikou Kujabi, midfielder Mustapha Jarju (Toubabo), former Under 20 forward Pa Modou Jagne and Mustapha Kamal Ndow have all arrived in the country to prepare for the crucial away opener.
Belgium based forward Ebrima Sawaneh, Njogu Demba, goalkeeper Musa Bajaha, Abdou Jammeh and Mathew Mendy and other invited players are also expected to arrive in the next seventy-two hours to join their new coach, Belgian Paul Put, for the Monrovia tie, which is the European’s first assignment after inking a one-year contract with The Gambia Football Association on Tuesday.
