Lamin M. Dibba is currently a deputy editor-in-chief at the Daily Observer. He has worked with the Daily Observer since 2002 when he began working as a freelancer. The then MD who also doubled as editor-in-chief was Sheriff Bojang. After six months Lamin became a fulltime reporter on general news.
In 2004 he was promoted to senior reporter and in 2006 promoted to news editor. 2007 began badly for he got ‘fired ‘ but luckily for him the current MD arrived and he was immediately promoted again, this time to the higher post of deputy editor-in-chief.
Lamin likes travelling and everytime the MD has an upcountry coverage, he is the first in the queue pushing everyone else aside. He travells home every night from Bakau to Pirang village, the other side of Brikama, and yet he puts a lot of his colleagues to shame by arriving on time every morning! (He always arrives before Jaw Manneh who lives in Bakau!).
He also enjoys reading and eating, and walking down to the river in Pirang after a heavy meal! He represents the Observer MD on the Natioal Training Authority for journalism.
