Go-For-Africa Foundation in Holland recently donated medical items to the Kaur and Kuntaur Health Centres at presentation ceremonies in both places.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony the Deputy Governor for CRR, Momodou Katim Touray, hailed Go-For-Africa for their laudable gesture which is geared toward improving the health system in this country. Mr. Touray added that the medical items donated will help to reduce maternal mortality and improve health service delivery at the health centre as well as complementing the Government’s efforts in the health sector. He then thanked and commended the foundation, especially the coordinators (Banna Sillah, Alhagie Saho and Nfa Kawsu Sillah) and the pioneers of the link, for choosing this place for assistance.

The officer in charge of Kuntaur Health Centre, Ms. Fatou Nyassi, thanked the donors for their support describing them as true friends. She then assured them that the donated goods will be put to good use.

In his handing over remarks the Team Leader, Johan Schouten called on the beneficiaries to use the items well. According to him the foundation focuses on the health and education sectors. He added that they are also supporting several schools and associations in The Gambia and elsewhere.

Other speakers included Councilor Kebba Sabally, Banna Sillah and Seedy Bensuda, the Alkalo of Kuntaur. All expressed their gratitude towards this gesture.
