DPP clarifies

Emmanuel Fagbenle, Director of Public Prosecution has clarified that Mr Andrews Charles Northfield, who was reported to have been arrested on our Monday’s edition  was instead not arrested but invited to the police station to be confronted with the person who had informed the police that it was he (Charles) who has the Carnegie company keys.

DPP Fagbenle added that, immediately after the clarification, Mr Andrews Charles Northfield went home. “No statement was obtained from him” he said. DPP further clarified that, Andrews Charles Northfield is the General Manager of Carnegie Minerals Company, Gambia Ltd and not the Managing Director as reported.
