Ken’s GFA Suspension – Someone else disagrees!

I also write to make an appeal to the GFA to re-visit the ban imposed on Ken Jammeh former U-20 Skipper of The Gambia our motherland.Ya to be honest what the GFA did was the right thing because such behavior should not be entertain in Gambian football,much more for a captain of the National side.As Fabio Capello the English coach said some weeks back that he is looking for a captain who should not only lead the team but a role model in society with high sense of discipline and respect to his teammates,officials and the society.

I belief Ken has try his best in executing some of these things but he was too Big too Slap a Referee.This he did not commit a crime only against the GFA but the whole nation at large. But that those not mean the GFA should give him a punishment that can lead to his career at stake.

This will not help in the advancement of the game.They should follow the footsteps of other FA around the world if a player commit such behaviors,like banning him for some few weeks,finning him some amount of money,asking him to apologize in public to the referee,the FA and the general public.This would have been a very good example for others to follow.

Some days back we have seen Mascherano the Liverpool and Argetine midfielder,given some game ban and been fine by the English Premier league,for challenging the referee after he was red carded.It was a good punishment for him and a lesson for others to follow.Rooney of Manchester United also received a similar punishment some years back for clapping in front of the referee after he was shown a card.

Those punishment have never in any way lead to the destruction of their careers but it added to the molding of the players attitude and a lesson for others to follow. Am sure Ken was not in his sense the time he was doing that.cos i know him and he has ever since been a good player with respect and discipline,and a source of admiration from his team mates and the young ones.

He is a good Muslim too and i know at this time that he has regretted as a Muslim what he has done to some one who senior him. Once again as a die hard supporter of Gambian football,am appealing to the GFA to lift the ban and allow the youngster to realize his dreams of becoming a professional footballer and contribute positively to the advancement of Gambian football.Please give him a second chance,i know he will never do such things again for the rest of his life.

As what ever man does wrong,he does it due to his own mis use sense of immaturity.There is no human being who is perfect as we all make mistakes and sometimes commit crimes against one another,against society,knowingly or unknowingly but we regret at the end and apologize to the people and the society as well.So please let the FA forgive him and ask him to do what is expected of him.

Mr editor thanks for up dating us about the National League. And Sir it will also be more helpful if you up date the table regularly as according how the league is going.so that we will enjoy more going over the league and knowing where our teams stand on the table.
