ScotGam gives to GPA, GFS

Following series of donations to various institutions in the country, Mr Paul and Carol Thorn, a scotish couple recently donated safety boots and helmets to The Gambia Fire and Ambulance Services and Gambia Ports Authority.

Handing over the gifts on behalf of ScotGam , Pa Ebrima Faye, ScotGam Gambia coordinator gave a brief history of the association. He said the couples have been donating to government institutions and other sectors. This time around according to Mr Faye is the The Gambia Ports Authority and The Gambia Fire Service he said.

He described the donors as true friends of The Gambia. He said the efforts of ScotGam will greatly compliment government efforts in transforming the health and education sector of The Gambia.“ScotGam Gambia branch will soon embark on the distribution of computers to various government institutions in the rural area with a view to facilitate their easy access to internet facilities.

Mr Faye then advise the beneficiaries to make the best use of the gesture. Receiving the materials, Dodou Ngum, station officer, Banjul Fire station lauded the gesture noting that the donation will make their work easier. He on behalf of the chief fire officer commended the donors for the gesture. He assured the donors that the gesture will use as expected .Dembo Jammeh, president of the Dock Workers Association at the Gambia Ports Authority made similar sentiments.
