At the time of going to press, President Jammeh-award winning DJ and CEO of CSW Media Group were put behind bars, helping the police in their investigations.
DJ Lamin Cham and Dr. Samuel Wilcox were yesterday afternoon arrested at the Nigerian High Commission on Garba Jahumpa Road in Bakau when the duo was involved in a scuffle that was likely to cause breach of peace and public order.
At the time of writing this story, the two were yet to be charged with any offence but a police official told this paper that the duo could be charged with various offences ranging from affray to assault.
The Point last evening visited Bakau police station where Cham and Dr. Wilcox were being held and, when contacted to shed light on his arrest and subsequent detention, Cham, whose shirt was torn around the breast pocket, had this to say: “I have been hoodwinked by Dr. Wilcox into parting with my D24,000. Dr. received this sum from me on the pretext of providing trophies for a musical award I had wanted to organize.”
On the other hand, a visibly perturbed but composed Dr. Wilcox would not comment on what had led to the affray.
