The general manager of Sheraton Hotel, Ms Jennifer Buhr, is taking a transfer after two “joyous” and successful years of putting The Gambia’s new Sheraton Hotel on the map.
“The Sheraton Hotel has become a land-mark in The Gambia as my team planned to make it when we first arrived”, said Ms Buhr. “The successful AU Summit was our highlight and we were delighted to take part in such an event that was so important for The Gambia.
This year, I brought a Sheraton camera-crew who have been to all the tourist landmarks in The Gambia like Makasutu. The Gambia will be automatically featured in every single room in our 800 hotels worldwide”, said Ms Buhr, adding “we also brought a Spanish camera crew and we hope this too will pay dividends for The Gambia’s tourism industry”.
Ms Buhr concluded that she would be leaving Sheraton Gambia for another Sheraton in April.
Her replacement General Manager will arrive in mid-March.
The Daily Observer wishes to thank Ms Buhr and Sheraton for all their efforts on behalf of The Gambia and wishes her well in her next posting.
