Central Bank Staff Subpoenaed

The Bundung Magistrates’ Court had issued a subpoenaed to one Babucarr Koita, a staff of the Central Bank of the Gambia, following an application made by the prosecution in the ongoing of fake CFA banknotes.

Mr Keita is to testify against one Charles Lawson, a Nigerian national, who is currently standing trial at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara for being in possession of fake 1, 520,000 CFA banknotes.

The Central Bank staff is expected in court on 22nd November 2008.
