Digital Watch-How to stop unsolicited messages

If you have a phone like Samsung SGH – E250 or similar, then you don’t need to receive all those annoying texts. Simply use the facility which allows you to block all texts from a particular number.

Just go to Messages, Settings, Text Messages, Block Number. Enter the number that you would like to block, select Options, Save, and voila! No more annoying messages.

For some phones which have this facility, the process might be a bit different. Read your phone’s manual or if you don’t have it, scroll through the phone. Pay special attention to the text message settings.

For those whose phones do not have this facility, call your GSM operator and complain about the invasion of your privacy. If they persist, call PURA (the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority) and complain. You can get the PURA helpline on 148 using any network.
