Finance and Economic Affairs has been appointed Chairman of the Africa Group I
Constituency, which comprises 22 African countries, the majority of which are
mainly English-speaking in the World Bank and IMF, namely: Angola, Botswana,
Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi,
Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan,
Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This constituency, known as
Africa Group 1 Constituency, elects one Executive Director and an Alternate
