A Gambian festival, organized by renowned Gambians Anthony Ndow and Ebrima Solomon Tamba, is expected to kick-off in Holland this week.

The festival is, among many other things, intended to showcase Gambia’s tourism potentials to the wider world and is expected to draw participants from all the divides in Holland and even beyond.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with this paper, Mr. Ebrima Tamba alias Solomon, said the event is intended to sell Gambia to potential holiday-makers as a place to be to enjoy an unforgettable experience. He added that the event would also feature the exhibition of Gambian drinks such as fruit cocktail, saying that culture will also be on the menu.

Mr. Tamba who’s the proprietor of Kunta Kinteh Beach Bar and Restaurant added: “Anthony is a Gambian lecturer in Europe and this festival is part of activities in complementing and supplementing existing efforts in projecting Gambia as an enviable tourist destination which compares favourably with other tourist destinations around the world.

We would use the festival to tell potential tourists that Gambia boasts of hospitable people, 100 per cent sunshine, quality hotels, peace, stability and security among others.”
