Zonal Final Rescheduled Following 2-2 Draw

The final of the Africell sponsored zonal championship has been rescheduled after the finalists, Bakau and Banjul failed in winning the Championship last Sunday.

Bakau who were determined to win in last weekend’s encounter, were leading in the first 20 minutes of the game when Sainey Ceesay and Alhagie Sanneh registered their names in the score sheets in the 1st and 20th minutes of the game.

Banjul reacted in the 25th minute through Ebrima Sonko and in the 52nd minute, Alhagie Musa Camara put in the equaliser.

After a two all draw at the end of normal playing time the organising committee of the zonal competition made a decision to reschedule the final for Sunday December 9, 2007, at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium.
