In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merceful

Story of Abraham

“(Also) mention in the book ( the story of ) Abraham he was a man of truth.  A Prophet.” (V.41).

Islam explains all the happenings and why it occured.  The benefits that people can derive from it.

This coming event is called in Arabic “Id ul Adha”. It is from the Prophet Abraham.   The (Abraham) was born in a family of idol worshippers.  Allah chose him to lead his people on the straight path, that is to worship only one God, when he was a small child.  Allah trained transformed him.  The Almighty showed him the right path.

He also told Abraham that the idols cannot respond, so they cannot harm anyone.  Prophet Abraham was also under the Survelliance of Allah Sure Anbiyan 51 states: “We bestowed aforetime oh Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were we Acquainted with him.”

Sula Kahf V.17” He whom Allah guides is rightly guided; but he whom Allah leaves to stray, for him with them find, no protector to lead him to the right way.

After chose him (Abraham), Allah sent him to tell his people who the Almighty is Prophet Abraham, started in from his family.  Allah said to all the prophet: “start the call from your own house, to see whether your family answered your call before taking it outside.” He also told our prophet Muhammed (SAWS) stated in Sula Shuasa V.214:”

And admonish they hearest kinsmen.” After his people refused to listen to him, he took another way it was how to destroy their Gods (idols).  It was the way they will understand him.  Sula Abraham V.4: “We sent not a messanger except (to teach) in the language of his (own) people, in order to make (things) clear to them.

So Allah leads astray those whom the pleases and guides whom the pleases and he is Exalted in power, full of wisdom.”  The people of Abraham used to have a special ceremony for the God.

They cook different kinds of food and place it infront of the idols.  When they return anyone whos food is not found, believed that your prayers are answered.

After they left their food with the idols, Abraham did not go with them, but came after and destroyed all the idols except the big one.

He left it there to argue with them. When they letusn, they were asking for the one who destroyed their Gods.  The Quran stated in Sula Anbiyaa V.59. They said who has done this to our God?  The most indeed be one of the unjust one.

They said we heard a youth talk to them he is called Abraham.

When Abraham was brought infront of everybody and askie whether he did it.

He told them to ask the God that was left.

If he can talk. They were wondering what next they will do to Abraham, because he was telling them the truth.  That their idols cannot talk to them,  Abraham then asked them, how they can workship a God that cannot move or talk to them.  Sula Anbujaa 1v.66-67.” (Abraham) said. Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? Fie upon you, and upon, the things that ye worship besides Allah. have ye no sense?” When Abraham had won them, they decided to judge him (Abraham). by killing him, because of their God that he destroyed, Sula Anbiyaa V.68 states. They said” Burn him and protect your God, If ye do (anthing at all).

They wanted to kill Abraham by  throwing him into the five, so that he can burn to death.  But Allah was always with Abraham.  If one follows Allah’s ways nothing can harm you.  The Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) once told his Sahabas “Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you.  Be mindful of Allah and you will find him in you” When Abraham was thrown into the fire Allah, commanded the fire to be cool and not to hurt Abraham, Sula Anbiyaa V.69-70.  We said: O fire be thon cool, and ca means of ) safety for Abraham then they planned against him: but we made them the greater losers.

Abraham tried with his people and they finally planned to kill him, he then asked permission from Allah to leave them and go some where else.  He prayed to the Almighty to give him a good son who will always be by his side.  Stated in Sula Saffat V.99-101:”  He said i will go to my Lord! grant me a righteous (son) so we gave him the good news of a fore bearing son.”  Allah answeed his prayers and gave him a son called Ismael.

He loved Ismael very much and used, to go with him every where.  There came another problem.  Abraham dieamt that he was suppose to kill Ismael his son.  This suppose to kill Ismael his son.  This was a test for Abraham.  He loved Allah very much, when Allah gave fhim a son, he loved him more.  So Allah wanted.

Abraham to see whom he loved more.  The Almighty or his son:”  stated in Sula Saffat V.102-109 Then, whsen (the son). Reached (the age of ) (serious) work with him, the said; O my son, I have seen in a dream that I offer thee in sacrifice now see what is thy view! (the son) said.  O my father! Do as thon out commanded thon will find me.

If Allah so wills one of the steadfast.  so, when they had both sumitted (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice).  We called out to him, O Abraham! Thon hast already fulfilled the fdream! Thus indeed douse reward those who do right.  For this was a clear trial and we ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice and we left for him anong generations (to come) in later times peace and sahitaions to Abraham.

This is a lesson for us. not only the feast and the meat.  We should emalate Abraham.  The respect that Abraham has for Allah and Ismael being an obedient son to his parents.  It was how Id ul Adha came about congratulating everyone.
