At least 200 pupils in Ebo Town, will have access to free nursery education for a period of three years.
This move was initiated by Holland Foundation which also sponsors Marent Nursery School, inaugurated last month in Ebo Town.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Sosseh Colley, Head Master of the Nursery School, commended the foundation for the initiative, describing it as a step in the right direction.
Head Master Colley used the occasion to called on parents to send their children to school, especially the girl child. “If they are trained in a good manner, they will become better leaders of the country,” he said.
Harry Te Wienk, the head of the foundation, said educating children is very important as they are the future leaders of any country.
He added that providing free education for them would go a long way towards reducing the burden on parents to meet the cost of educating their children.
Within the Nursery School, there is a primary health care system, and a First Aid teacher, who looks the children.
The ceremony was attended by Yusupha Sanyang, deputy Mayor of KMC and Haddy-Nyang, National Assembly Member for Jeshwang and parents.
