Thumbs up for tourism officials

Allow me space and time to congratulate the tourism authorities for the good work they are doing at the Department of State for Tourism and Culture.

I am a regular reader of the local newspaper as well as a frequent viewer of GRTS.
I am very much impressed with what is happening at The Gambia Tourism Authority. The staff are working as a team without any favoritism or segregations. They are working hard to make sure that the tourism industry of The Gambia is successful in all its undertakings. Special merit goes to Director General Kaliba Senghore for the good work he is doing towards the development of tourism in The Gambia.

Their sensitisation tour with Secretary of State for Tourism and Culture Angela Colley was very good because it enabled them to know what is happening on the ground and address many issues concerning the tourism sector.
Mr Senghore is no doubt working hand-in-hand with SoS Angela Colley who is also doing her best to see to it that the sector grows from strength to strength. This is what we expect from an SoS. She is a very productive and dynamic leader.
The tourist season is now on and tourists are arriving in large numbers, which is a boost for the Gambian economy.

Therefore, let us all try and make them happy during their stay so that they will take back happy memories of the Smiling Coast and promote The Gambia abroad.
I pray that we have a very successful tourist season. To all the tourists presently on holiday here, I say a big welcome. To Angela, Kaliba, Nuha, Ida and the rest, I say keep up the good work. You are a great team indeed.
