Anwar Kedir, an Ethiopian businessman based in Addis, had what he called an “opportunity” that made his importing and distributing of garments in Ethiopia from his clients in Turkey easier. He took a five hours flight to Istanbul, the time taken to get there was equivalent to that of a drive from the capital to Hawassa – a town 270Km away the south.
