One Pap John on Wednesday appeared before Abdoulie Mbake, the senior magistrate of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, seeking D16,000 from one Serign Bayi.
In his evidence in chief, the plaintiff told the court that Serign Nayi had convinced him to embark on a joint business at Sukuta, and he agreed. He added that he and the defendant plus one Ousman Njie agreed to work on the condition that the proceeds gained would be banked, and that at the end of every month, the money saved would be withdrawn to pay for their rent and feeding.
He further narrated that they also agreed to share the balance. He also told the court that the defendant had only paid him his share from one month out of three.
The case was adjourned to 3th February 2009.
