As part of his breakthrough in the treatment of diseases such as HIV/Aids, hypertension, asthma, and others, Professor Alhaji Yahya Jammeh yesterday began the treatment of the 3rd batch of hypertension patients at State House.
At least 762 hypertension patients received the treatment. The latest batch of hypertension patients included over 300 non-Gambians, among them a British lady, Senegalese nationals and others from different countries around the world.
Speaking to journalists after the treatment process, Professor Yahya Jammeh thanked the Almighty Allah for giving him the knowledge and strength to continue the hypertension treatment.
He said that his treatment is always well proven and that only God can decide who is going to get well and who is not. “Sometimes, people will come back to say they have the same problem. There are a few treatments, infertility, asthma and high blood, for which I have never had the cause to give the medication twice to the same person to drink.
It doesn’t mean that when people take the medicine, they will not be sick. Sometimes when people are sick and they take the medicine and develop similar symptoms, they think that it is the same sickness that has come back, which is not the case. I am sure that once they take my medicine and they follow the instructions, they will have no cause to complain,” Professor Jammeh remarked.
President Jammeh also advised the patients to concentrate on the treatment that brought them to State House. He observed that some people join the treatment session for a variety of reasons with some having ulterior motives. He warned people to desist from such acts and concentrate on the treatment.
“I don’t want to harm anybody but I am ready to protect my knowledge, the medication and treatment that I am doing. Whoever comes here, you will find me here because I think enough is enough. Whatever a person comes here with, I will know it even before you enter the State House gates but I will advise people who have ulterior motives not to venture into my treatment program because as from now, I am not going to compromise,” President Jammeh warned.
Commenting on the recent conferment of an honorary professorship on him by the School of Biology and Life Science, Imperial University of Costa Rica, in honour of his breakthrough in herbal treatment, Professor Jammeh said he did his treatment freely for the sake of humanity and at his own expense, but not for fame or riches.
He added that he does not want anybody to pay, instead he wants Allah to reward him for the deeds he is doing for humanity. “I am being honoured by people who have never been treated by me, so if you see that, know that it is Allah’s reward,” President Jammeh noted. He also advised the patients to make sure that they get the correct diagnosis at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital before lining up for the treatment.
“For any treatment that we want to do, we will announce the date, place and time to the general public. People go to the hospital to say ‘I have come for treatment of devils (Jinneh). We don’t do any treatment on those affected by devils (Jinneh). I do not treat Jinneh or somebody possessed by Jinneh or devils. I know that I can do it but that is not the treatment that I am doing,” President Jammeh concluded.
Dr Tamsir Mbowe, director general of the President’s Medical Treatment Program, who also doubles as the director of Health Services at the Department of State for Health and Social Welfare, expressed his delight with President Jammeh’s medical herbs, which he said have the potential to take care of hypertensive patients.
“Before the start of the treatment, their blood pressures were checked and after 10 minutes of taking the medical herbs, their blood pressures were re-checked. We saw a significant drop in all of them, which is a good sign. It means that it is an effective treatment,” Dr Mbowe remarked.
He also advised the patients to desist from drinking attaya, coffee, eating cola nuts, and the like, for 24 hours after taking the treatment to avoid a reduction in the effectiveness of the medicine.
Penny Manneh, a British lady who also took the president’s hypertension treatment described it as effective.
Burama Ceesay of Old Jeshwang, Bekai Malick Sosseh, Alhagie Nassirou Martin and Fatou Keita, all expressed similar sentiments and prayed for the Almighty Allah to guide and protect President Jammeh.
