Lamin are heading for a double finals this weekend as the annual nawettan season in the Kombo north village reaches its climax.
The winners of the knock-out competition will be decided today (Friday), when KGH Sports FC take on Golden Gate in a keenly-awaited final at the Lamin mini-stadium. Hot on the heels of the knock-final will be the mouth-watering league final that will pit Jatta FC against Harlem on Sunday, November 23.
Banjul
Banjul Sports Committee had to reschedule their Sport House sponsored knock-out final to this weekend after last weekend’s fiercely fought match produced no winner. Goyan FC and Plumbi United all proved they were up for the final when both sides failed to extend the lead after a 1-1 score last week.
The two sides will now square-off against each other on Sunday, at the Banjul mini-stadium in a replay final that holds the key to the giant trophy and cash prize of D15,000 staged by the sponsor - Sport House. Serrekunda East Rangers FC are eyeing a dream double as they prepare to take on Culture United in the much-talked-about Serrekunda East league final on Sunday.
Rangers beat Snookers 3-1 in the knock-out final last weekend to bag a trophy and a cash prize of D7,500 (seven thousand five hundred), and they will be D20,000 (twenty thousand dalasis) richer if they can down Culture in Sunday’s keenly-awaited final.
