Lamin Camara, defence counsel for Oley Sey, has urged the Banjul Magistrates Court to discharge and acquit the former nominated national assembly member.
According to Counsel Camara, the prosecutor has failed woefully to prove their case beyond all reasonable doubts. He argued that prosecution witnesses 1, 3 and 4 were all at the same meeting where the purportedly stolen money was presented and yet their statements were contradictory.
Lawyer Camara made these remarks on Monday whilst filing his address before Senior Magistrate Lamin George at the Banjul Magistrates Court. Camara further went on to say that the evidence of his client was consistent and credible.
