The Brikama Magistrates Court presided over by Pa Harry Jammeh yesterday sentenced one Demba Camara to a mandatory jail term of one month with hard labour for stealing 5 fowls.
When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded guilty and the magistrate sentenced him on his own plea. According to Corporal Kinteh of Old Yundum Police Station, the accused on 22 December this year in Jabang went to the residence of one Amadou Bojang and stole the said fowls.
He was later apprehended and brought to the Old Yundum Police Station where he was charged.
