Achievement in our democratisation process

Please do allow me space in your newspaper to say a big, big congratulation to the proprietors of the two new radio stations in The Gambia. The birth of Unique FM and Paradise FM is a great achievement in the democratization process of the country.

I think the achievements of Lamin Manga and Harouna Drammeh will go deep in the history of this small but peace-loving nation. As former colleagues at the GRTS, I say to Lamin, Harouna and my mentor, Peter Gomez of West Coast Radio, may your radio stations continue to serve the communication need of Gambians.

May we live to witness the inauguration of new private TV stations belonging to the Gambian media fraternity! Bravo guys.
